Geoff Dale - Extended Family, Mrs. HD and A Boy Named Three Heads | Custom Soulmate Guitar
"I recently had a custom guitar built by Doug Darling of Soulmate Guitars. He hasn't been building recently but had a beautiful piece of wood he wanted to make into a guitar. Im honored he did this for me and it plays amazing. It's lighter than any other guitar I've owned, which helps my back. It really plays great and has an awesome tone."

Who is your favorite Rochester musician?"Hands down it's Aaron Lipp. He might be the most talented musician I've ever met. I feel like you could give a shoe string, a piece of gum and a banana and he be able to create something that is sonically incredible. His voice is powerful and has an age to it that doesn't make sense coming out of his body. I've watched him walk into a room with a guitar and be able to make 100 people just drinking beer shut upand get transfixed on him. It's really special any time I get to see him play."

What is your favorite Rochester music venue?"Obviously I am biased but I do dig 3 Heads, but Anthology is my favorite room to play. The stage just feels magical. Great lighting, sound and vibes. Phil is doing something right with that room and we're lucky to have him in this city."

Why do you love the Rochester music scene?"There is something magical in this town. People are supportive of each others projects. There is also a healthy competition that isn't negative. Bands consistently put on new music that inspires the rest of us and makes us dig deeper to create art that pushes us to our own limits. But on top of that, there is a great amount of people that turn out for the shows and take pride in what is happening on the stages. It creates an environment that fosters bands being willing to take risks because they know they'll be rewarded by the scene if they do it."
